We used to live near the Esplanade, over seven years ago. At that time, there wasn’t much going on there aside from Merc Bar (which I just learned closed last year. Boo!) and the AMC theater. Now a bunch of cool new businesses have moved in, including Hearsay and the coffee shop, Perks. I photographed several dishes for Hearsay, and will be going back to shoot the goodies from Perks soon.

We’ve known Brad and Kat for a loooong time! When they first opened their Short Leash food truck, Michael photographed them for the Arizona Republic, and several more times over the years. We’re proud to call them friends, and were so happy for them when they reopened in their same location as Title Nine Sports Grill earlier this year.
